Metronome improvements

The Better Shed metronome now works a lot…better.

Always visible

Previously you had to scroll to the top of the page to turn the metronome on or off. The site layout has been tweaked so that the top navigation and metronome are always in-view and accessible, no matter how far down the page you scroll.

Easier to change BPM

There are two new ways to change the metronome's BPM. You can now click and drag on the dial, or you can manually type in the desired tempo. This is much better than before, where you could only either tap a tempo, or point and click on a spot on the dial (and hope for the best.)

More accurate 'tock'

You might have noticed that at higher tempos the metronome's sounding pulses were actually too slow. Sorry. That's fixed now and the metronome is super accurate!

A new 'tock'

Something about the sound of the metronome wasn't quite right. It was very low and hollow sounding. I noticed that I needed to turn up my volume too much to hear it.

There's a new sound in town. (It's produced by the browser's Web Audio API rather than a chopped up sample.)

I think it's much improved: clearer and easier to hear. I hope you agree!
