New metronome tool and more

Metronome

New to Better Shed is a metronome tool that you can use on every page of the site. Simply click the metronome icon in the upper right and select (or tap) the tempo you'd like to play along with.

A primary goal of Better Shed is to reduce distraction while practicing. I aim to do that by putting all the important music tools you need in the same place. This new metronome is an important step in that direction.

Flip camera while recording

When recording yourself on Better Shed you will now see an icon to horizontally flip the camera. This feature was requested by a trumpet player (thanks Andy Warren!) to make it easier to mimic the common practice room exercise of playing in front of a mirror. Hopefully this added flexibility makes it easier to pay attention to the physical attributes of practice like posture and embouchure.

I want to extend a heartfelt 'thank you' to everyone that's been trying out the app. Your feedback and bug reports have been extremely helpful. Thanks as well for your patience as I work through frustrating glitches. It has been a thrill to put this project in your hands after years of work. (With much more to do!)
